This walk follows the Wales Coast Path to Sudbrook where we'll learn about the industrial heritage of the area and visit Sudbrook Interpretation Centre where local historian Peter Strong will share his expertise before making our way back to the start.

A lovely walk across the Monmouthshire countryside and open farmland that passes by Itton Court to St Deiniol's Church. Once here, renowned historian Naylor Firth will give a talk on the history of the Curre family who made their home at Itton Court until the 1950s, and had a strong influence on the local community.

Cefn Ila and Usk

Walking through fields and woods, this walk explores the rich history of Usk and the surrounding area covering 900 years from the establishment of the Priory Church to the battlefield of Pwll Melyn in 1405 and the role of Usk Castle. We then arrive in the nineteenth century with the building of the Coleford, Monmouth, Usk and Pontypool Railway, exploring along the way the changing fortunes of the Cefn Ila Estate.
