Beautiful Monmouthshire
A number of these photos were taken during our 1st Walking Weekend in April 2013. Plans are already under foot for our next Walking Weekend on 12th 13th and 14th April 2014

Chepstow is almost unique in having 4 Long distance Paths either starting in the town or just outside.  We have suggested itineraries for you to complete several sections of the trails whilst still remaining at your chosen accommodation. Under 'local walks' there are examples that take in some of the best that Chepstow and the surrounding area has to offer, highlighting its unique history and beautiful varied landscape.

Where possible each walk starts and finishes near a bus route giving you the choice of whether you would like to use your own car or public transport. The timetables of local bus services can be found under local info.

We haven't forgotten the dog either. Our important best friends must surely like a change of scenery so we've included a selection of walks for them as well. Whilst out on your walk look our for local businesses displaying the Walkers are Welcome Logo, they have offered their support for the scheme and some have even sponsored a particular walk. Do pop in to see them, they will be pleased to see you and will offer you a warm welcome.

The walks are intended as a taster to tempt you to explore further and to help you on your way...... There are many easy to follow Walking Guides for the area providing inspiration for your next adventure. Copies of these can be found at the Tourist Information Centre or Chepstow Bookshop or visit The Wye Walker where there is a good selection of walks along the Wye Valley Walk.
