This is stage 11 of The Monmouthshire Way , a new 121 mile circular route exploring the ancient county of Monmouthshire. Join the route designer, David Morgan, to walk stage 11 starting at Rogiet and following the Wales Coast Path through to its southern terminus in Chepstow. Excellent views of the Severn Bridges and across the estuary. Transport to the start is included.

A walk from The Fedw woods taking in (weather permitting) panoramic views over Chepstow and the Bristol Channel, ancient hill forts, a lost village, old lime kilns, the wonders of Tintern and the rich industrial history of the Angidy valley. Forest tracks, footpaths, old lanes and some road walking.

There are several walks that we just can't leave out and this is one of them. The start point is easy to reach from Chepstow and no matter how many times you walk this route it never fails to please. The route takes in the "picturesque" Piercefield woods before climbing to Gaer Hill camp with spectacular views over the Severn Estuary.

This lovely walk takes you through a quiet corner of Monmouthshire across a landscape of farmland, forest tracks, past a large fishing lake and finishing in woodland with stunning views.. On the way we have the rare opportunity to visit Panta Farm, home of the delicious Brookes Wye Valley Ice Cream where the owner will give us a short talk and a tasting!

Join the Living Levels Partnership in celebrating the juxtaposition of the Gwent Levels, by discovering more about its industrial development via this small walk with a big pay-off! Following the Wales Coast Path from Newport Wetlands, taking in such contrasting features as the East Usk Lighthouse, St. Mary’s Church in Nash and Newport Docks. The route culminates in a birds-eye view of this unique landscape from the iconic Newport Transporter Bridge (weather permitting)! For those not fancying the walk over the bridge, a more sedate crossing of the River Usk is possible via the gondola. After visiting the historic Waterloo Hotel there is the option to stay there for lunch or return to Newport Wetlands.

Another brand-new walk devised for the festival on the fringes of Earlswood and Bullyhole Bottom with its plethora of paths which were begging to be discovered. This walk offers superb views across the Severn Estuary, a visit to the oldest Methodist Chapel in Wales and secluded valleys.
