Welcome to 2021 Chepstow Walking Festival!
After 18 months of enforced downtime we're delighted to invite you to join us for 4 days of walking fun! The return of this popular festival provides lots of great opportunities to meet other people who also love walking, make new friends and discover the stunning landscape and rich heritage that we have on our doorstep. You can learn more about the countryside and flora and fauna, visit establishments that rarely, if ever open to the public or just enjoy a ramble with the dog (please check walk details for suitability), some specially devised to avoid stiles and livestock where possible.
It’s also a great way to introduce the kids to walking. Even if you usually walk only as a family unit or by yourself, it's rewarding to occasionally share your walking experience with others who enjoy the countryside. If you are new to country walking, unsure about where to go, or need an incentive to get your boots on, then this might be just the answer to get you started with experienced friendly walk leaders. Don't forget there's no charge for kids under 16. All our walks take full account of any guidance or restrictions imposed by the ongoing Coronavirus situation, which also means that we have taken the decision not to include any linear walks that would require special transport arrangements, or indoor events, in the Autumn 2021 programme. |

Chepstow Walking Festival is a community event and would not take place without support from many individuals who contribute to what has become an established feature of Chepstow's calendar. Key amongst these are our walk leaders, local experts and organisers who contribute time and skills entirely voluntarily, plus all those who take part. Thank you all!
It would take a whole page to list the contribution of local firms and organisations in making Chepstow Walking Festival a success. Many businesses do this by advertising their walker-friendly services through our 'stay, eat and shop' listings (please give them a try), and we also receive lots of financial, direct or indirect support with the Festival itself. Here is a list of organisations who will be helping us to deliver the 2021 Festival:
